Trackhoe (Excavator) Operator

We're hiring an experienced Trackhoe (Excavator) Operator to join our field crew and dig, trench, and place the underground utilities and site work our projects depend on.
What You'll Do
- Operate a trackhoe/excavator safely and productively for trenching, mass excavation, footings, and grading.
- Dig to line and grade for underground water, sewer, and storm-drainage installation.
- Set pipe, structures, and bedding, load haul trucks, and handle materials on site.
- Keep spoil piles and equipment back from the trench edge and support required protective systems (shoring, shielding, or sloping).
- Work around marked utility locates (call 811) and follow the Competent Person's direction on trench safety.
- Complete daily pre- and post-operation inspections and report any defects promptly.
- Coordinate with laborers, pipe crews, and spotters, keeping a safe distance from ground personnel.
- Follow all site safety procedures, daily toolbox talks, and stop-work authority.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of trackhoe/excavator experience preferred, ideally in underground utilities or site work.
- Ability to dig accurately to line and grade; laser or GPS grade experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of trench safety and OSHA excavation requirements.
- Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work outdoors in varying conditions.
- Valid driver's license and able to pass pre-employment screening.
