Davis Earthworks Inc. is a heavy civil site development and earthmoving contractor based in Thomaston, Georgia. We're hiring an experienced Dozer Operator to join our field crew and help move our projects from raw ground to finished grade.

What You'll Do

  • Operate bulldozers safely and productively for land clearing, stripping, cut-and-fill, and rough and finish grading.
  • Push, spread, and level soil and material to grade using grade stakes, benchmarks, and/or GPS machine control.
  • Build and maintain haul roads, building pads, and slopes according to the grading plan.
  • Maintain positive site drainage and support erosion-control measures such as silt fence and check dams.
  • Complete daily pre- and post-operation equipment inspections and report any defects promptly.
  • Work closely with grade checkers, spotters, and other operators, keeping a safe distance from ground personnel.
  • Follow all site safety procedures, daily toolbox talks, and stop-work authority.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of dozer operation experience preferred.
  • Ability to read grade stakes and follow a grading plan; GPS grade-control experience (Trimble, Topcon, or similar) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of site development, earthmoving, and OSHA job-site safety.
  • Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and able to pass pre-employment screening.
